TVI, Inc. d/b/a GreenDrop is a for-profit professional fundraiser accepting donations of secondhand clothing and household goods on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Donation Center, Inc., whose mission is to build and support one-to-one relationships to ignite the biggest possible futures for youth. GreenDrop® donation centers have been placed in your community to make donating used clothing and household items to one of our local nonprofit partners easy, convenient, and eco-friendly.
The Walt Whitman GreenDrop® located in Huntington Station, NY is open daily to accept drop offs of clothing, shoes, kitchenware, books, toys, bedding and bath, and other household items you no longer need. All donated items should be packed into bags or boxes and weigh 50 pounds or less (an amount attendants can safely lift.) Unfortunately, we cannot accept tube TVs or tube computer monitors.
Simply drive up to a donation location near you where you will be greeted by a GreenDrop® attendant who will ensure your experience is fast and convenient. Our friendly attendant will collect your items on behalf of our local nonprofit partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Donation Center. After you visit the Walt Whitman GreenDrop®, you can download a tax receipt for your records.
GreenDrop® then purchases your donations from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Donation Center, providing critical funding for their mission. Your pre-owned goods are then given a second chance to be loved again in local thrift stores. Together, we help protect the planet and keep millions of reusable items out of landfills.
